Join 60 Minutes for a dynamic virtual Q&A session with William Onuwa, EVP and Chief Audit Executive at Royal Bank Canada (RBC). Dr. Onuwa is RBC’s Executive Vice President & Chief Audit Executive. In this role, he is responsible for the Internal Audit function, Credit Review Group and Office of the Ombudsman at RBC. 

Prior to this he was the Senior Vice President & Global Head of Wealth Management, Insurance and RBC Bank risk management groups. He is a member of the RBC Diversity Leadership Council. Before joining RBC, he held various executive leadership positions at General Electric (GE) in the UK and USA. 

In addition, he also lived and worked in Jamaica. William is currently on the board of an external company listed on TSX and is also on the board of Governor for the University of Guelph. He recently served as the Chair of the Board of Holland Bloor view Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation Board and as Chair of the Board of Yonge Street Mission in Toronto.

He received the 2015 Transformation Award for Professional Excellence and recognized as 100 Most Influential Black Canadian (MIBC) in 2022. Mr. Onuwa holds a Doctorate degree in Business Administration from the University of Surrey England, as well as other professional designations in finance and insurance management.
